Building a U-bass from leftover wood
In my previous post, I showed how I managed to build an entire guitar from scratch, using very few resources, and only using materials sourced from local hardware stores. Sometimes you miscalculate how much wood you need for such a build, or you just buy an extra piece just in case anything goes wrong. Things usually do go wrong, but during the previous build it was all smooth sailing (yay!). And I’m now left with an extra piece of beech, which I can’t store indefinitely in my student accommodation room. So let’s build another instrument. And of course, make a challenge out of it again.
The goal is to build an entire instrument out of the leftovers from the previous build, no new wood allowed.
The result can be seen in this following video. No talking, just letting the work speak for itself. I hope you enjoy and the video and I hope that you got inspired to build something beautiful too!
